Overview

A startup with great hardware and no face

Drone arrived with an impressive quadcopter and a placeholder logo. Retail buyers and early adopters alike needed a reason to believe — so the brief was to build the entire public face of the company: name treatment, visual language and a launch site, all in six weeks.

The answer was restraint. One heavyweight wordmark, one near-black canvas, and product photography doing all the talking. Nothing on the site competes with the machine itself.

Approach

What the project entailed

  • Wordmark & monogramAn angular, engineered letterform system cut for rotors, packaging and app icons.
  • Launch websiteA single-scroll Framer site: film-grade hero, spec sections and pre-order flow.
  • Art directionPhotography guidelines — low angles, dusk light, motion blur — for all future shoots.
  • Pre-order funnelWaitlist, deposit and referral mechanics designed to compound launch demand.

Outcome

Cleared for takeoff

The new site launched alongside the product announcement. Press coverage picked up the identity immediately, the waitlist filled within the launch window, and the founders now run every campaign from the guidelines — no designer required for day-to-day assets.

Tessaly gave our machine a personality. Retailers take us seriously now — the brand looks like it has been here for years.
